Back on May 10th in my post "Winter's End" I expressed my excitement about my acceptance into the Cape Cod For Pastels Only show and what a huge honor that was. I worked so hard since my denial the previous year, the acceptance was more than I ever could have hoped for. Just on a whim on the morning of the reception I decided to check my email before our day trip to the cape only to see an email congratulating me on the award I was to receive that evening at the reception! At 5AM I could hardly contain myself. I was awarded the "Vermont Pastel Society Award" by the PPSCC and Judge of awards and juror of selection, Liz Haywood Sullivan, The President of IAPS (International Association of Pastel Societies). It still has not sunk in yet!
For those who will be in the area the show is still on display at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod until July 14th.
