Reflections on 2013...

What a year it has been...filled with highs and lows both from a personal standpoint and professional. Looking back I'd say the top three moments of the year would have to be my acceptance and award in to the Cape Cod For Pastels Only show. Getting in was one of my goals (I worked very hard for this) however the award was not in the plan. This was icing on the cake.

Robin's Fall Plein Air Workshop was definitely a highlight of the year. Not only does she host and incredible workshop (stay tuned for her one day studio workshop on February 8th) but I was able to put together four nice pieces. I will post those shortly, but for now here are some of the images I photographed while painting in Chatham, MA. I will also post some more from time to time.

Beautiful sunrise in Chatham.

Another sunrise off Chatham Light.

Found this little guy basking on the top (bottom?) of a capsized dingy at the Chatham Town Landing.

Some other highlights included my Terry Ludwig Award for "Old School" at the Pastel Society of New Hampshire "It's Pastel" show was probably the best show I've ever visited so this was quite an honor. The fall open studio show was great this year where I met some wonderful new friends and bumped into some old.

I bought some new pastels and supplies...Oh and I bought some art supplies. And did I mention I bought some pastels...and more...and more...haha. Yes the Pastel Society of New Hampshire held quite a trade show in Manchester this year, thank you!

Most importantly being supported by you, my friends means more to me than anything. I couldn't do it  without you and wouldn't be here if it weren't for your heartfelt support and kind words.

So THANK YOU!

Yes, I'm leaving out the bad for a reason. As I said, it's time to move forward. 2014 promises to be a big year. As I mentioned in my last newsletter I already have BIG NEWS so you'll have to check back VERY soon to find out.

Thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
